Dr. Peter F. Cohn, MD, Editor-in-Chief, emeritus

As Cardiology Review announces the July retirement of our founder and editor-in-chief, Dr. Peter F. Cohn, the staff would like to thank him for dedicating more than 20 years to shaping this publication into one of the most useful cardiology resources available for today's cardiologist and primary care physician. Cardiology Review was born in 1984 because Dr. Cohn recognized how important yet daunting it was for busy physicians to keep abreast of the latest clinical research. He saw the need for a journal that would "bridge the gap between research and practice" by offering concise, informative summaries of the most relevant research published in the leading clinical journals.

Prior to establishing Cardiology Review, Dr. Cohn served on the boards of several prestigious journals, including the American Journal of Cardiology, Circulation, and the Journal of the American College of Cardiology. Throughout his tenure with Cardiology Review, he remained an active force in the cardiology community, receiving numerous awards and contributing more than 250 articles, 140 abstracts, and 4 textbooks to the clinical literature.

We feel fortunate to have had such a superb captain at our helm for the past 24 years. Everyone at Cardiology Review wishes Dr. Cohn the best in his retirement, and we look forward to his continued involvement as editor-in-chief emeritus.
